The course:
- – is tutor-led with one-to-one support
- – involves sessions that include brief discussions and explanations, short warm-up drawing exercises and time to work on individual drawings for longer periods with tutor supportWe will work with a mixture of real objects and printed reference images.You will predominantly work on paper supplied but it is recommend that you also have a sketchbook available for notes and sketches.Materials supplied:Pencils, charcoal, ink, graphite, graphite powder, pastels (soft & oil), pens (including biro), rubbers, masking tape…What you will be expected to buy and bring:
- – Hardback sketchbook (A4 or A5), 46 to 78 sheets, 140-180 gsm. Recommended supplier: https://www.cowlingandwilcox.com/
- – Set of sketching/graphite pencils. HobbyCraft and Cass Art (online store) are good options.
- – Suitable clothes for materials being used, such as graphite and charcoal.
You may be asked to bring in any collage material/surfaces that are relevant to your chosen ideas.
